 A Woman's Prayer

she stood on the hilltop and screamed into the wind

as the debris of a thousand thoughts and memories

swirled around her in a cyclone

her unacknowledged anger 

tossed with her anguish and love 

fueled the torment

so as she screamed

the earth trembled

and stars fell from the sky

then she laid her head down and wept

as the world continued to spin

and tomorrow came
